This 100% Carménère from Weinbau Vineyard in Washington’s Wahluke Slope AVA showcases the varietal’s savory depth and vibrant character, elevated by aging in French oak. Aromas of raspberry, grilled red pepper, and dried herbs lead into a palate of ripe plum, black currant, and smoked paprika, framed by silky tannins and subtle notes of nutmeg, cocoa, and cedar. The French oak lends finesse and structure without overpowering the fruit, while the vineyard’s warm, arid climate and basalt-rich soils contribute to the wine’s concentration and earthy elegance.
