2024 Irene
just a little bit
14.3 % ABV
Irene is a seductive blend of 37.5% Cabernet Sauvignon from the sun-drenched slopes of Weinbau Vineyard, 37.5% Malbec from 39-year-old vines at Gamache Vineyard, and 25% Merlot from the iconic Bacchus Vineyard—all nestled within Washington’s White Bluffs and Wahluke Slope AVAs. The nose is graceful and alluring, with delicate floral notes entwined with ripe berry aromatics that beckon the first sip. On the palate, a plush, round mouthfeel carries vibrant layers of blueberry, black cherry, and blackberry, seamlessly woven with honey, caramel, and vanilla from French oak aging. A subtle thread of spice adds intrigue, leading to a lingering finish of roasted chocolate that deepens with every sip. Unfiltered and expressive, Irene is a wine of elegance and depth—drinking beautifully now yet structured to evolve gracefully over the next 10 to 12 years. It’s a wine that whispers, then insists “just a little bit” more.
