SDC Virtual Wine Tasting

About the event

To our out of state friends and family, we hope we haven’t teased and tantalized too much with the 2019 tasting notes and the on-site release party. You are ALWAYS welcome – come stay with us!

We know it’s difficult to travel in this environment, so to make up for that, please join us for a virtual wine tasting. It will be a great way to connect with our (and your) other friends and family, and enjoy delicious wine from the comfort of your home.

We will open bottles of both the 2018 and the 2019 vintages that you may already have on hand. Or if not, you can purchase in time for the tasting. Ken will walk you through what you can find on the bouquet, the wonderful initial tastes and that long lingering finish. A winemaker’s job is to create an environment and make the right choices so that the grapes can become the wine they want to be.

How is that done? Come join us and we will tell you about the journey of a grape as it enters Shared Dream Cellars and finally ends up in one of our handcrafted bottles. There are exciting nuances in process and investment in equipment that are underway.

Don’t miss this opportunity to interact with the winemaker. SAVE THE DATE and we will send details to follow.

2019 Tasting Notes Highlights – The 2019 wines are a continued evolution of pursuing a perfect environment for the grapes to become the wine they want to be. Across the board, the wines are true to their varietal character, fruit forward, structured and have subtle influences from four toast levels of French Oak. Their round mouthfeel and complexity make the wines approachable at a young age and positioned to only get better with additional time. So exceptional was the year that we produced an extremely limited wine named Irene. Named after my mother, both are very special.
